Pfizer Promotes Practical Training For Stroke Treatments
Pfizer's new VR training in clinical training will reduce treatment times for stroke patients and ensure efficient and practice-oriented training.
Success Story
Challenges
Effective Training Despite Limited Resources
Every minute counts when treating a stroke, so life-saving training for doctors is essential. As a pharmaceutical organization focusing on patient care, Pfizer recognizes the importance of hands-on training for medical staff treating stroke patients and therefore relies on VR technology.
This allows realistic training to be implemented, even in clinics with limited resources for practical exercises.
Solution
VR in Stroke Unit Starter Course
In collaboration with us, Professor Dr. Sobesky (Neuss) and Professor Dr. Pfeilschifter (Lüneburg), Pfizer has developed a stroke VR simulation training course using Virtual Reality training to create an innovative training experience for healthcare professionals.
VR Training In Medical Education
Neurologist's training is supported by participants wearing VR glasses and virtually being in either an emergency room or CT examination room. With the help of controllers, they can perform interactive activities and see the entire team, including their own and other avatars. The VR training enables doctors to practice under realistic conditions and fine-tune procedures. Further stages are planned so that doctors can also learn in clinics.
Results
